Start-Up Virgina is an organization designed to provide new business owners with a resource to help them both get their business up and running and, for those businesses that are already operating, provide them with resources for many of the services they will need.  Start-Up Virgina is comprised of local, experienced business owners who understand what it takes to start and run a successful business.  These professionals have formed Start-Up Virgina in order to share their expertise and experiences with other small business owners.  Many new small business owners do not know how to find other small business professionals in order to assist them with their businesses.  Each of the founding members of Start-Up Virgina has a unique area of expertise and has personally experienced the joys and frustrations of starting their own businesses.

Start-Up Virgina members offer free initial consultations and discounted services to other local small business owners in order to help them form and operate their businesses more profitably and successfully. Although the focus of the founding Start-Up Virgina members are the areas of accounting, advertising, insurance, small business lending and web site design,  Start-Up Virgina members also refer new business owners to their network of other small business owners to help them with whatever needs they have.  Examples of such referrals could be anything from business bankers to real estate agents to all types of contractors.
